Rapper Fatman Scoop reportedly had an energy drink before he tragically collapsed on stage and died in front of his screaming fans.
The tragic incident’s footage is now going viral on social media after it took place on Friday. His age at the time of death was confirmed to be 53.
The Grammy-winning star whose real name is Isaac Freeman III suffered from a serious medical emergency while he was performing live for his fans at Town Center Park in Hamden, Connecticut.
His family announced his death the next morning without revealing the cause of the incident.
Sharron Elkabas who is the CEO of his PR firm revealed the initial moments before he passed away. This included drinking a beverage containing so many stimulant compounds before his performance began.
‘He just one can before he started to perform’- she explained to The Hollywood Reporter. It’s interesting because the star never consumed energy drinks but he did right before this show took place.
The news left fans and other friends of the star from the industry in tears as they were in shock at the sudden revelation made online. Heartbreaking tributes were published in his honor as he is now survived by his son, daughter, and brother.
