Robert Irwin was seen suffering from a freak crocodile-related accident just a few hours before the Logie Awards.
The 20-year-old wildlife warrior spoke about his near-death experience while talking to Dr. Chris Brown on the red carpet and how he narrowly escaped the face-to-face encounter in Sydney.
The host asked him how he prepared for tonight’s awards show and he shocked them by mentioning how he had just returned from catching crocodiles up on the north side.
Robert further went on to detail how the incident was so dangerous and he had taken numerous steps to remedy the result in time for the arrival on the red carpet.
‘I just smashed my head into a giant tree’ he explained nonchalantly. He was very casual about the entire situation but it was clear to many that he certainly had a real near-death accident.
He explained how he landed on the crocodile head and it could have gone from bad to worse. He managed somehow.
Many have spoken about his daredevil tactics and how similar he is to his father in this regard.
Both of them enjoy the wild side of things and animals are their best friend. They do realize the dangers but sometimes get too comfortable. As Robert mentioned, reality checks are necessary sometimes. And clearly, this happened to be one of them.
