The star who was born in Iraq but from Australia explained how he does not have any arms below the elbow region and doesn’t have any legs either.

Seeing him get disqualified for a rule that not many have heard of in the men’s 150m medley left audiences in shock.

Officials revealed how Kelly performed the butterfly instead of the freestyle in the final leg of the race and that led to this verdict.

Swimming Australia had no choice but to launch an appeal against the decision before confirming the swimmer had been reinstated and then would be allowed to take part in the final.

When more clarification regarding the situation was made, fellow swimmer Annabelle Willams from Australia mentioned how the officials ended up overlooking a little-known rule in the medley.

She says freestyle means you can perform just about anything other than a backstroke or a breaststroke. This means a butterfly is allowed so that does not make sense why this was an issue to begin with. Do you agree?
