A mother has been facing backlash for some viral clicks that featured her hugging her teenage son on the field after his team won a football game.
Now, her son is fighting all the haters and trolls back in a subtle manner. He’s just shared a message with his mother about how grateful he is for the way she has brought him up, no matter how difficult times have gotten.
Last month, the mother named Amber Wright who is a single mother from Utah went viral when she published a sweet video featuring herself celebrating her son’s win.
She did get a lot of criticism for hopping onto her son’s lap and wrapping her legs around him. The video went viral for all the wrong reasons, with many feeling the mother should have known better than to treat a teenage boy in public this way.
Today, the clip has racked up more than 9 million views and still counting. The mother has tried to cool down all the hate with her son’s love and support for her and how he feels about all she’s done to bring him up alone.
The son has also lashed out at trolls for claiming she’s straddling him when that was the least of her intentions. He hoped people would leave her own.
The mother continued with statements such as ‘I was a proud mom hugging my son for his achievements!’ Meanwhile, her son said, ‘This was an act of pure love. She was not abusing me or grooming me.
