Fitness guru Richard Simmons’ autopsy has gone public and the real reason for his cause of death was revealed.
As per reports from local media outlets, Simmons did have traces of prescription drugs that were used to treat insomnia in his system when he passed away.
The report was rolled out by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office on Thursday and showed the levels of the three medications.
While no other recreational drugs were found inside his system, many did raise concerns about the cuts and bruises that were found on his body during the examination.
The same pills that were inside his system were also found inside his bathroom as per the autopsy report released by Daily Mail yesterday.
The fitness guru’s cause of death was released as a sequela of events that included blunt-force traumatic injuries due to his ground-level fall. Meanwhile, the manner of his death was still ruled as an accident as per reports from local media outlets.
The report similarly sheds light on how the star had arteriosclerosis which is a cardiovascular disease.
He was found at his residence by his longtime housekeeper, just one day after he celebrated his 76th birthday.
