Paralyzed Mom-of-Two Who Took Part In Charity Marathon In Bionic Suit DEAD In Tragic Car Accident

A paralyzed mother of two finished the London Marathon while wearing a robot suit and managed to raise over one million pounds for a charity event.

 

Sadly, she has just passed away today after getting involved in a horrifying accident in the Middle East. As per reports from local media outlets, Claire Lomas has been paralyzed from her chest down since the year 2007.

She died from an unknown accident that took place in Jordan but no other details regarding the tragedy are yet to be released by her loved ones.

Lomas is believed to have broken her neck, back, and ribs. She also punctured her lung when her horse threw her off while she took part in the Osberton Horse Trials in Nottinghamshire, nearly 17 years ago.

The former chiropractor who hailed from Eye Kettleby near Melton Mowbray completed the London Marathon in just 17 days while wearing a bionic suit. She raised thousands of pounds for the Spinal Research charity event as a result of her hard work and efforts.

Lomas also was a great motivational speaker and qualified pilot. She even received the honor of being an MBE by Prince William who spoke about how honored he was to meet someone like her while giving her the award.
